The National Association of home Builders (NAHB) will honor four individuals who have excelled in teaching NAHB education to builders, remodelers and other industry professionals through its annual Educator of the Year Awards. The 2014 Educator of the Year award winners will be recognized at the 2015 International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas next week.
“The Educator the Year honorees are being recognized for their dedication and longstanding commitment to elevating the home building industry through education,” said NAHB Education Chair Vince Butler, a Virginia remodeler. “By sharing their expertise and serving as mentors, they give builders, remodelers and others the knowledge to better serve the needs of their clients, delivering the latest information and training available.” He added.
The 2014 Educator of the Year award winners are:
Green Building Educator of the Year: Peter A. Yost, Principal and Vice President of technical services for BuildingGreen, Brattleboro, Vermont.
Sales and Marketing/Institute of Residential Marketing Educator of the Year: Dave Porter, CAPS, CGA, CGP, CMP, MIRM, Principal and Senior Loan Officer at HomeStreet Bank, Starwood, Washington.
