NASL

NASL or North American Specialty Laminations will establish a brand-new manufacturing and distribution facility in Roanoke, Virginia. Doug Pence, who has over thirty years of expertise in building materials manufacturing and general management with businesses like Ply Gem, Simonton, and Alcoa, will serve as the facility’s general manager in Roanoke. Zach Wiedenhoeft, President/COO, NASL, said that the firm looks forward to Doug’s experience and valuable contributions in creating this vital new plant site. He has vast knowledge of the industry, the lamination processes, and the local labor pools.

Production hub for profile lamination and fabrication capabilities
“In delivering on our vision to ensure service excellence across North America, we are pleased to announce our new 57,000 square foot facility in Roanoke, VA, that will be our production hub for profile lamination and fabrication capabilities to our door, window, cabinet, wall panel, fencing and molding customers across the southeastern U.S,” says Doug Rende, CEO, NASL. Rende says extensive analysis led to the selection of Virginia for its “consistent pro-business stance, progressive supporting programs, and skilled workforce in the greater Roanoke area.”

“We are committed to being the employer of choice, and we believe that businesses perform best when the interests of investors are aligned with the interests of employees,” says Mai-Tal Kennedy, BIP’s Director of HCM Transformation & Employee Ownership. “NASL is grateful for our collaboration with the Virginia Department of Economic Development to assist in these efforts.”

Members of the Roanoke staff will take part in the FACTOR Program, which offers thorough, certified training and programmes for personal growth for better career and financial advancement chances. This programme is available at all NASL locations. Building Industry Partners (“BIP”), the top private equity business specializing in the American construction sector, is the sponsor of NASL. At every portfolio company, BIP has vowed to improve the employee value proposition.
