Plum Creek Timber Company, Inc. a nuclear and renewable energy supplier has appointed Laura Clise as director. The alumni of Thunderbird School of Global Management will be responsible for implementing and enhancing the company’s sustainability program.
“At Plum Creek, we see opportunities for working forests and wood products to help solve some of the world’s biggest challenges – particularly around renewable energy and carbon sequestration – while also creating shareholder value,” said Rick Holley, chief executive officer. “Laura’s experience and thought leadership will help us continue to create and leverage these opportunities. She will be a valued addition to our team.”
Clise joins Plum Creek from Areva Inc., where she recently directed external communications and corporate citizenship efforts, and previously served as director, sustainable development and continuous improvement. She has been a Net Impact Corporate Advisory Council member since 2012, and was selected as an Aspen Institute First Mover Fellow in 2013.
Clise earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Carleton College, and a Masters of Business Administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
