American-made, environmentally friendly outdoor furniture company Polywood has celebrated 35 years of producing all-weather lumber and American craftsmanship. The introduction of Polywood Select, which offers new lumber and a fresh look for outdoor areas, demonstrates their ongoing innovation in the outdoor space.
When Polywood was first established in 1990, its goal was to turn plastic waste into long-lasting, environmentally friendly lumber. With production facilities in Roxboro, North Carolina, and Syracuse, Indiana, the company that began with a single Adirondack chair in an Indiana garage has expanded to provide thousands of outdoor furniture items.
“Polywood has always stood for craftsmanship, sustainability, and uncompromising quality—these values continue to drive us as we introduce new products like Polywood Select,” commented Founder Doug Rassi.
The brand’s dedication to engineering is demonstrated by the development of Polywood Select, which attempts to satisfy customer demand for a range of textures and finishes. The GenuineGrain Finish adds a distinct texture, and Microcell Technology gives this new lumber better moisture resistance.
The company claims that Polywood is in a great position to keep growing its product lines and U.S. operations in order to satisfy the demands of American consumers because of its tightly integrated supply chain, domestically developed engineering capabilities, and solid foundation in lean manufacturing.
