Roseburg is pleased to announce the addition of two industry professionals to our commercial team. Experts Michel Painchaud and Doug Asano will take charge of the position in Roseburg Forest Products from August 1, 2020.
Michel Painchaud has accepted the position of Business Manager – Canada. He will focus on growing the client portfolio for Roseburg’s Pembroke MDF mill, located in Ontario, Canada. Additionally, Michel will collaborate with the business development group to continue building Roseburg’s millwork business. He will be part of the Industrial and OEM sales team led by Phil Pierot.
Michel started in the wood products industry in 1987. He worked with Flakeboard/Arauco for the past 30 years, most recently as Northern Sales Manager, responsible for that company’s Canadian MDF mills. He holds a BAA degree with a marketing minor from the University of Quebec at Trois-Riviers Canada. He has been married to Andree Marcott for 32 years and they have two daughters, Vicky and Marilou. He also has a 5-month-old grandson, Charlie. Michel enjoys golfing, boating, fishing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Oh, and yes, he is a Montreal Canadiens hockey fan.
Doug Asano has accepted the position of Director of Sales Excellence. He will focus on accelerating the sales transformation process within Roseburg. In this role, he will collaborate with the sales directors to improve sales operations and facilitate implementation of technology within the organization. Doug will be a member of Roseburg’s Commercial Leadership Team, led by Ashlee Cribb, SVP-Chief Commercial Officer.
Doug spent 15 years with Huber Engineered Wood, where he held several executive positions, including leader of the sales, marketing and national accounts organizations. While at Huber, he was involved in numerous sales operations improvements, including sales career development programs and CRM implementation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s in Business Administration from Dartmouth College. Doug and his wife Lexi live in Davidson, NC, with their daughters, Lilly and Anna. He is a senior on-ice hockey official and officiates semi-professional, collegiate, junior and advanced youth hockey throughout the Southeast. We may have a little hockey rivalry going on here!
