Royal Plywood Co., a wholesale distributor of specialty panel products and building materials, has acquired Talbert Architectural Panels & Doors, expanding its capabilities and strengthening its ability to serve customers efficiently and cost-effectively.

As the newest division of Royal Plywood, Talbert Architectural Panels & Doors will continue operating from its existing location, ensuring continuity for customers and partners. The existing management team and employees will remain in place, supporting a smooth transition and maintaining the expertise and service that customers have come to expect.

Following the acquisition, the business will operate under the name Talbert Architectural Panels & Doors, a division of Royal Plywood Co. LLC.

The acquisition further strengthens Royal Plywood’s portfolio of specialty panel products and building materials while expanding its capabilities in architectural panels and doors. The continued involvement of Talbert’s existing team will help preserve established customer relationships while providing access to the broader resources and capabilities of Royal Plywood.

As part of the expanded Royal Plywood network, Talbert Architectural Panels & Doors will benefit from the company’s broader resources and capabilities, including increased purchasing power, an extensive product inventory, manufacturing expertise and established distribution infrastructure. These resources are expected to strengthen Talbert’s ability to support customers with efficient access to specialty panel products, architectural panels and doors while enhancing service and supply capabilities across the market.

For customers who have relied on Talbert as an indirect material source, this acquisition offers several important advantages:

  • The ability to purchase directly from the manufacturer.
  • Continued access to Talbert’s expertise and service, supported by Royal Plywood’s ability to supply core components more cost-effectively.
  • More timely and efficient delivery through Royal Plywood’s fleet of approximately 50 trucks.
  • Access to Royal Plywood’s extensive inventory, product lines, and custom services.
  • A single source of coordination for the materials, products, and finishes required across an entire project.

“Our goal is to help ensure that the hardwood panels and lumber used throughout a project,” says Dana Linz, president, Royal Plywood Co. “From furniture, flooring, ceilings, walls, and passage doors to exterior cladding and decking, work together in appearance, finish, and texture. Customers can now source these coordinated materials through one experienced and highly regarded company.” Dana added further.
