Bermex, a Canadian furniture firm that specializes in solid wood dining furniture, storage furniture, bistro tables, and custom bar stools, is scheduled to buy Saloom Furniture, a privately owned company located in central Massachusetts.
“The deal is set to be completed at the end of this month,” confirmed Holly Fogarty, accountant at Saloom Furniture. He added, “We don’t have any details on the amount of purchase as of yet, but we are all eagerly waiting for the company managers to finalize.”
After the owners, Peter and Linda Saloom, announced their retirement after 40 years in the furniture industry, the manufacturing facility has been searching for possible buyers since January. Throughout this change, the business will continue to operate and execute orders with the same level of care and skill that clients have been accustomed to. As further information about the sale and transition becomes available, it will be shared.
