schattdecorSchattdecor is very satisfied with its showing at the 6th edition of the ForMóbile show in São Paulo between 29 July and 1 August 2014. Its booth enabled trade visitors to view new decors in striking settings that underscored individuality and creative freedomwhile also expressing Schattdecor’s three trend themes for 2014, namely “Ready for Progress?”, “Isn´t it Poetry?” and “Longing for Comfort?”

Visitors were impressed by the synchronicity of designs and surface texture, with Inverness Oak, Canyon Historic Cherry and Brentwood Oakproving to be particular highlights.
Furniture clad in Digital Visions decors expressed the versatility and individuality of digital-print decors, whereby Measure and Chameleonespecially stood out. It was noticeable in general that Digital Visions decors are gaining in significance alongside rotogravure woodgrain ones.

FlávioNunes, Executive Manager of Schattdecor Brazil remarked, “Our customers were impressed by the originality of our showing and brought their clients to the booth to show them the quality and variety of our decors. We noticed Digital Visions decors on melamine-faced MDF at the booths of various customers, and architects noted the possibility of obtainingour digital-print decors at flexible volumes.” On the other hand, Sara Worms, designer at Schattdecor Brazil added, “Our concept this year centred on reduction, and so we chose white wood for our booth to form a neutral setting for the decors”.

Schattdecor’s traditional Happy Hour, which has the purpose of sharing German culture, was well-attended and enabled the exchange of news and doings in the branch. Not only did the evening event have a German DJ, but visitors were able to dress up in Bavarian folk costume.

To sum up, architects and customers from throughout Latin America showed great interest in Schattdecor’s Digital Visions decors, and intend to put the possibilities of digital inkjet printing to greater use in major building projects in future. As the feedbackon the showing and the decors indicates, Schattdecor is seen not only as a source of inspiration but also as an excellent detector of trends.
