As of May 1, 2025, Schattdecor has promoted Philipp Uschold to the position of National Sales Manager-Finished Surfaces. This calculated action demonstrates Schattdecor’s “commitment to innovation and excellence” in the lacquered surfaces industry, especially in the rapidly changing furniture and kitchen & cabinet segments.
In 2016, Uschold started working for Schattdecor as an apprentice in Thansau, Germany. He progressed through positions in Sales Finish Foil and Sales Impregnation after earning his Bachelor’s degree in International Business Management. He brought extensive product knowledge and a global perspective to each phase of his career.
Uschold has had a major influence since moving to the United States in 2024 as an Account Executive. He has received praise for his customer-focused style and spearheading training programs in the Foil Sales division. His technical knowledge, global experience, and leadership skills put him in a prime position to propel Schattdecor’s Finished Surfaces division throughout North America toward expansion and profitability.
Uschold exclaims, “I’m honored to step into this new role and excited to lead our Finished Surfaces team in North America. Schattdecor has played a significant role in my professional growth, and I’m grateful for the trust and support from both my colleagues in the U.S. and Germany. I look forward to building strong partnerships with our customers and driving innovation and success in the lacquered surfaces market.”
As he continues to build Schattdecor’s reputation as a reliable partner to manufacturers in the furniture, kitchen & cabinet, doors & panels, and recreational vehicle industries, Uschold will be in charge of the Foil Account Team and the full Foil Sales Support team in his new position. Additionally, Bastian Kastner, Director of Strategic Accounts, will now get direct reports from the RV Business area. His extensive knowledge of the RV market guarantees continuity for both the RV sales staff and customers.
David Sheehan, CEO of Schattdecor, commented, “Philipp’s promotion reflects his outstanding performance, global perspective, and deep understanding of our products and customers. Since arriving in North America, he has demonstrated remarkable initiative and leadership within our Finished Surfaces team. I’m confident that under his guidance, this segment will continue to thrive and deliver exceptional value to our partners across the lacquered surfaces market.”
