This year marks the 70th anniversary of wood industry technology supplier SCM Group (IWF Booths B6953-6973). To celebrate the company will stage a woodworking competition, with a grand prize of an SCM Nova so 400 sliding table saw.
Entries are due by August 15, and the judging will take place at IWF 2022. The winning entry will be announced 11 a.m. Friday, August 26, the final day of the show, based on ballots cast by attendees. No project is too big or too small. Submit a woodworking project you’re most proud of and tell why you should win.
The competition does double duty, as each entry will trigger a gift by SCM to the veterans organizations Semper Fi & America’s Fund, “to show our appreciation to those who matter most — our customers and the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. For every entry, we will gift Semper Fi & America’s Fund a $100 donation.”
Competition Rules/Eligibility
-All entries must be made from 75% wood
-Group entries are allowed
-All projects must be a finished product
-Entries can be made on any machine manufacturer
-Submissions can be past or present-day projects
