SIBO 2022 is back in October

 Wednesday, September 14, 2022

CCI Canada Inc., the owner of the Toronto Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference and Expo (WMS), proudly relaunches Salon Industriel du Bois Ouvré (SIBO) at the Centrexpo Cogeco in Drummondville.

SIBO, historically the most important event for Quebec’s secondary wood products industry, will provide an exclusive opportunity for manufacturers and distributors of woodworking machinery, tooling, software, cabinet hardware, lumber and board products, and much more to connect with manufacturers representing Quebec’s $8.2 billion wood products economy.

The three-day event, to be held October 27-29, 2022, will present the largest gathering place for Quebec woodworking professionals to connect with each other and with key manufacturers and suppliers of equipment, computer software, hardware, raw materials, and more. Woodworkers will find innovative products and solutions to help them increase productivity, improve quality, expand into new markets and grow their profits.

FREE EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE PROGRAM

SIBO 2022 will feature a free dynamic educational conference right on the show floor. Presentations will include:

Keynote presentation by Bastien Larouche, founder and owner of Roboistic RMC (Robot Made Cabinets), will discuss his unique business.

Highlights from a benchmark Industry 4.0 study presented by Christian Galarneau, general manager of RH Solutions, which represents the Sectorial Labour Committee of the Window and Door, Furniture, and Kitchen Cabinet Industries.

Jean Michaud, a certified AWMAC GIS inspector, will present an overview of NAAWS 4.0, the quality standards updated by the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada in partnership with the Woodwork Institute. The standard addresses materials, assembly, installation, casework integrity testing, and much more.

A pair of presentations by representatives of Inovem, the research and technology transfer center of Victoriaville College’s woodworking. One will spotlight Inovem’s efforts to support Quebec wood products manufacturers to embrace Industry 4.0 and the other will focus on water-based finishing developments.
