Stiles machinery is proud to introduce John Barnes as the new National Key Account Manager for the window and door industry. John is the subject matter expert within Stiles on window and door manufacturing, his knowledge encompassing not only the equipment, but also industry trends, and the processes involved in window and door production. Having worked 25 years in the industry, John ensures that Stiles can adequately support the needs and goals of our customers.
In March, John will have been at Stiles for eight years, previously the Solid Wood Product Specialist for the South-Central region.
“I have been in a variety of different roles. I have been intimately involved with the equipment, the struggles of production, the struggles of management, the struggles of trying to get the product through the business and out the door, and trying to keep the end customer happy,” John said.
Even before joining the Stiles team, John had spent his entire career working in the wood industry. In high school, John worked at a family-owned custom moulding business, and then went on to attain a four-year degree in Wood Technology from Pittsburg State University. After completing school, John worked in a variety of supervisor roles at R.D. Henry & Company, a cabinet maker, and returned to Pittsburg State University for a year as a teacher of Wood Technology.
“I have lived that role for many years, which has helped me in my previous and current position with understanding the customer base, the limitations of the equipment, and how to work together to get that ultimate goal: a happy customer and a successful business,” John said.
