Stiles Machinery has officially introduced its latest CNC technology, the HOMAG DRILLTEQ D-110, redefining the standards in horizontal drilling and automated dowel insertion. Expertly engineered by HOMAG and meticulously assembled in the United States, the DRILLTEQ D-110 provides a powerful solution for woodworking businesses seeking exceptional precision and improved productivity.
The HOMAG DRILLTEQ D-110 features three individually selectable horizontal drill spindles, providing manufacturers unparalleled control and versatility. Additionally, the machine includes motorized X, Y, and Z axes, ensuring precise positioning accuracy crucial for high-quality output. Industry research by the Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers (AWFS) consistently highlights that advanced axis control in CNC machinery significantly boosts manufacturing accuracy and throughput, validating the DRILLTEQ D-110’s strategic design.
Enhancing operational flexibility, the DRILLTEQ D-110 is equipped with machine-controlled side and center fences, accompanied by 4–8 individually adjustable clamping cylinders, which securely hold workpieces during processing. Its dual doweling systems, capable of handling multiple dowel diameters, further streamline automated insertion, supporting efficient production scalability.
“This machine addresses modern production needs, excelling in both efficiency and adaptability,” stated David McFarland, Senior Project Manager at Stiles Machinery. “Our ability to customize and thoroughly quality-check each machine at our Grand Rapids facility ensures reliable, high-performing equipment ready for immediate integration into customer workflows.”
Key to the DRILLTEQ D-110’s exceptional performance is its sophisticated dowel insertion system, featuring a vibratory conveyor and dowel singulation chamber. Recent research from Purdue University’s Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory emphasizes the importance of automated dowel insertion systems in significantly reducing manual labor and error rates in furniture manufacturing.
Moreover, the innovative HOMAG intelliGuide LED operator guidance system further enhances usability, interactively guiding operators through complex tasks and reducing operational errors. Studies from the Journal of Manufacturing Systems indicate that interactive assistance systems like intelliGuide can cut operational mistakes by up to 30%, underscoring its value in precision woodworking environments.
The HOMAG DRILLTEQ D-110 not only serves as a robust stand-alone CNC solution but also integrates seamlessly into existing production lines, ensuring continuous, efficient manufacturing with minimal downtime.
