stiles 1Showcasing the remarkable flexibility of 5-axis CNC technology at IWF 2016, Stiles was proud to introduce the revolutionary WEEKE Venture 115.

Together with a wide portfolio of the most technologically advanced CNC machining options, industry leader Stiles Machinery Inc. was proud to showcase the capabilities of the new WEEKE Venture 115 5-Axis CNC machining center at the upcoming International Woodworking Fair in Atlanta, GA, August 24 to 27, 2016. Stiles demonstrated how to increase capabilities in high-production manufacturing by leveraging CNC technology, including the freedom of 5-axis CNC, from WEEKE and HOMAG to combine production flexibility and speed.

stiles 2At the show, Stiles showcased the revolutionary WEEKE Venture 115 5-Axis CNC machine with daily live demonstrations. This CNC processing center is the newest innovation in 5-axis CNC machining, incorporating new features rarely if ever seen in a machine of its kind. The Venture 115 is compact, but delivers power and convenience with optimized floor space—the perfect performance class for any requirement.

The 5-axis head provides more direct power transmission due to its compact design. By employing wide bearings, it can maintain extreme rigidity within a small machine footprint. This machine features a patented quick change system for the vertical spindles, a patented automatic spindle clamping system, a tool pickup station, liquid-cooled routing spindle, and powerTouch technology through a mobile terminal. Bumper safety technology makes the WEEKE Venture 115 5-Axis CNC machine freely accessible from all sides.

In addition to the WEEKE Venture 115, Stiles offers an all-inclusive portfolio of the most advanced and innovative CNC manufacturing machinery, including nested-based CNC routers, CNC vertical drilling machines, flat table and twin table machines, and more, for manufacturers working in a wide range of materials in large or small shops. In nearly 26,000 sq. ft. of booth space at IWF 2016, Stiles offered attendees the opportunity to experience CNC at its finest.

stiles 3Also operating on the show floor was the WEEKE BHX 055 Vertical CNC Machining Center. In an extremely small 6-by-10-ft. footprint, this efficient solution performs routing, vertical drilling, horizontal drilling and grooving with zero setup, even for batch size one processing—combining the work of many machines in one.

The WEEKE Vantech 510 CNC Router was featured, providing precise CNC-controlled processing for the automatic sizing, shaping, and drilling of panel components made of wood, plastic, composite and non-ferrous metals. Multiple material handling configurations are aimed at enhancing throughput by 40 percent or more.

Show attendees were also able to see the WEEKE Vantage 200 CNC router, the fastest and heaviest machine in its class, in action. Weighing in at over 16,000 lbs. and with processing speeds of 130 m/min, this CNC gantry-style processing center handles a wide variety of applications from cabinetry and custom closets to architectural millwork, store fixtures, furniture and more.

Live demonstrations daily were include the WEEKE ABD 060/12 Bore and Dowel Insertion Machine, designed to be a perfect complement to a nested-based CNC machining center or to function independently as a stand-alone solution for horizontal drilling, gluing and dowel insertion with minimal set-up time.
