Next week marks the beginning of COP30, a crucial global summit held in Brazil focused on climate and the environment. Stora Enso will be part of the event alongside many partners at the Finland Pavilion and partnering with Veracel Celulose S/A, their joint operation with Suzano, located in Brazil.
COP30, the UN’s climate change conference, is taking place this November in Brazil. It comes as the world faces the increasingly devastating impacts of climate change and amid intense geopolitical turmoil. A key task facing governments ahead of the conference is to submit new national climate plans, known as ‘Nationally Determined Contributions’ or ‘NDCs’. COP30 will likely also centre around money, climate change adaptation and the energy transition.
Stora Enso is inviting the interested participants for fruitful discussions on resilient communities, forest restoration, and positive impacts on nature, taking place on November 17 and 18.
