UFP Retail Solutions appointed new president Will Schwartz, who will take over from January 1, 2023, according to an announcement from UFP Industries. ProWood pressure-treated lumber, Deckorators decking and accessories, UFP-Edge siding, pattern, and trim, Outdoor Essentials fencing, and lawn and garden products are just a few of the brands that are part of the company, a $4 billion division of UFP Industries that specializes in yard and home products. Allen Peters, who is transferring into the newly created position of executive vice president of innovation, is replaced by Will.
From trainee to president
He rose into positions such as account manager, sales manager, and regional sales director after joining the organization in 1998. He previously belonged to CEO Club, which honors the organization’s top sellers. Additionally, he has worked as the operations general manager for various UFP plants. In 2014, Will was appointed vice president of operations; in 2020, executive vice president of purchasing; and in 2022, executive vice president of operations services. Will started off as a trainee right out of college and has since developed an amazing career at UFP Industries by assuming more abilities and duties, according to CEO Matthew J. Missad. He is recognised as a leader who improves the performance of others around him. Will has been closely collaborating with Allen Peters and the retail team for the past few years, successfully managing its supply chain throughout the pandemic. The management is certain that he will approach his new responsibilities with the same excitement and dedication to excellence he has shown throughout his career because he has shown to be a very successful, innovative leader. Missad continues that the company is thrilled to have him lead the retail segment.
