Välinge Innovation is launching 5G H/B One®, a brand-new one-panel herringbone installation technology designed to make herringbone flooring easier and faster to install with reliable, long-lasting performance. The technology will be showcased to the global flooring industry at DOMOTEX 2026 in Hannover (19–22 January) and TISE 2026 in Las Vegas (27–29 January).
“We are excited to introduce 5G H/B One to the industry. It is a smart one-panel solution that removes the need for separate A and B panels, making herringbone installation easier, faster and more user-friendly than ever,” says Laetitia Kimblad, Director Flooring Technology at Välinge Innovation.
One panel, many benefits
5G H/B One is based on Välinge’s market-leading 5G® Fold Down technology, enabling fast, easy and reliable installation and dismantling. It offers optimal vertical locking strength, stronger than any other one-panel fold down solution for pattern installation. Using a single panel type simplifies handling throughout the value chain. It streamlines logistics, reduces inventory complexity and requires only a single production line.
“The technology responds to the growing demand for easier herringbone installation without compromising performance. With 5G H/B One, panels connect easily in all directions, supporting precise, reliable installation even in more complex layouts and helping professionals work more efficiently on site,” Kimblad adds.
A broader pattern installation offering
5G H/B One complements Välinge’s existing portfolio of pattern installation solutions already used by Välinge licensees and preferred by distributors and retailers worldwide. 5G H/B Duo® is a traditional herringbone installation system using A and B panels to deliver robust, durable performance, and 5G Cross® is designed to keep straight-set and chevron patterns perfectly in line over time.
