VOLLMER America celebrates ground breaking at Findlay Township

 Wednesday, May 15, 2019

VOLLMER America broke ground at their new location in Findlay Township, PA near Pittsburgh Airport on Saturday May 11, 2019. The new 29,200 square foot building is expected to be completed in March 2020. VOLLMER, known for grinding and erosion machines in woodworking and metalworking industries, having outgrown its capacities, the company has decided in 2018 that it was time for a brand new building, tripling the size of the showroom alone to allow for more machine demonstrations and trainings for customers as well as new employees. “This will set VOLLMER up for success for decades to come and ensure the best possible service to our customers”, says Peter Allen, President of VOLLMER of America.

VOLLMER will soon move to the new 29,200 sq ft facility in March 2020 where it will invite customers and partners for an Open House celebration shortly after. Key highlights of the new building includes doubled warehouse space for best possible machine availability, a significantly increased show room for a variety of machine demonstrations and trainings as well as the in-house gym for employees. The new facility will have a very modern look with lots of glass, steel and concrete as well as high ceilings in strategic places. Today with more than 800 employees worldwide, the VOLLMER Group that was founded in 1909, has established as an efficient producer in grinding & erosion equipment. The North American subsidiary currently counts 28 employees, 21 of which are based out of the Carnegie (and soon to be Findlay Township) office. The other 7 are strategically located throughout the US to cover more ground in sales & service.
