Vollmer

Vital differences characterize the CS 860 and CSF 860, but both are united in their one goal, that is to make sharpening your carbide-tipped circular saws easier. The machine is power-packed to offer optimized flexibility for maximum processes to procure the best grinding results.

The CS 860 and CSF 860 are two fully CN-controlled machines, available in both both 8- or 7-axis kinematics. Circular saw blades between 80 and 860 mm in diameter are compatible with both equipment. In addition to several extra units for specialized applications, both machines have measuring equipment for completely automated setup and work processes. The Vollmer ND handling system can be used in conjunction with up to three machines to automatically load them for maximum efficiency. Every surface and machining combination imaginable is doable, and that too in a single cycle. Could this be any more adaptable?

Industry 4.0 is the buzzword

Industry 4.0 is the buzzword. The CS 860 and CSF 860 machines from Vollmer have communication capabilities. Standard equipment includes an IoT gateway. The compact monoblock structure composed of polymer concrete guarantees maximum stability, both statically and dynamically. Compact and ergonomic, the design is ideal for routine operations, maintenance, and service. The deep-set operation doors open widely, and the control cabinet and maintenance compartment doors are easily accessed. Even an open roof can be used to load the equipment using a crane. The coolant return flow eliminates the need for a coolant tank where dust and grinding residue could collect. With no dirt, there is fewer upkeep duties. Powerful servo technology is also present in both machines.

Being simple to maintain, it is designed for complex sequences to speed up machining and increase output. The established workshop-oriented user interface in the design is used in conjunction with a touch screen or keypad to control the machines. This provides an override feature that makes it simple to change the machining speed. Additional versatility is provided by the manual operating unit, which allows any desired axis to be examined and altered directly on the enclosure, independent of the control panel.
