Vortex Tool Company will showcase long-lasting XP “Xtreme Performance” tooling at the upcoming Wood Pro Lancaster. The show will be held from October 12 to 13 at Spooky Nook Sports.
XP tooling is manufactured of solid carbide without any additive coatings that are removed when sharpened. According to Vortex, this solid carbide construction coupled with the tool’s geometry creates a tool that runs longer, saving user’s time and money throughout the life of the tool. The company adds that XP tooling delivers three to five times more tool life than standard compression geometry, especially when machining high pressure laminate (HPL) and melamine materials.
XP tooling was developed as a result of extensive testing performed at the company on its own CNC test router at its facility in Schofield, Wis. Vortex has continually expanded the XP tooling line to include the most popular tool sizes, including two-flute and three-flute compression geometries.
Vortex designs and manufactures a wide variety of standard and custom router and insert cutting tools for the woodworking and plastics industries and provides re-tipping and sharpening services.
Vortex tool representatives will be available at booth #364.
