Weston Forest has recently announced its acquisition of Industrial Lumber Sales, Inc. (ILS) of Moultrie, GA. Weston, a company in distributorship and manufacturing of softwood & hardwood lumber and specialty panel products, went on to state that ILS’s highly skilled management team, reliable business plan, and location will be advantageous to Weston. This shall be teamed with Weston’s diversified product mix, thriving ethos, financial stability, logistical prowess, and strategic knowledge.
Weston’s second acquisition in the United States
Steve Rhone, President & CEO of Weston Forest, mentioned how Industrial Lumber Sales is a well-managed company with a great reputation and lots of room for expansion. Their company, according to Rhone, is a true asset to Weston Forest; there are supply chain efficiencies that will immediately open up the possibility of expansion for both businesses. In the past ten years, Weston has made five acquisitions; this one is their second in the United States. Additionally, since the Watermill Group acquired Weston Forest in 2021, this is the first acquisition of the company.

Industrial Lumber Sales, Inc. is a packaging, cut-to-size, crating facility located in Moultrie, Georgia. They produce their own goods, which include everything from southern yellow pine and hardwood to banding boards, chock blocks, precut OSB and plywood, boxes and crates, and specialty pallets. The company supplies stores all around the southeastern United States in addition to providing services to a broad range of manufacturers from a variety of industries and lumber mills.
