Weyerhaeuser is permanently shuttering its lumber and plywood mills in Columbia Falls, Mt., in late August or early September.
The company attributed the closure of the complex to log shortages in the area. About 100 will lose their jobs.
Its other three facilities in the state—a lumber and a plywood mill in Kalispell, as well as an MDF facility in Columbia Falls—will continue operating.
