The WMS (Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference and Expo) 2025 is expected to have a major presence from the Wood Manufacturing Council (WMC), a non-profit organization devoted to supporting the expansion and competitiveness of Canada’s advanced wood products manufacturing sector.
The WMC will be a key partner on WMS Student Day and the WMS Live Conference, in addition to exhibiting at the event, which takes place at the Toronto Congress Centre from November 12–14, 2025. The goal of the WMC is to create and carry out human resources strategies that promote the long-term prosperity of the wood manufacturing industry in Canada. This means putting a lot of effort into getting young people and underrepresented groups interested in the trades, as well as providing essential training and mentorship programs to help companies and employees fulfill their changing needs.
WMS Student Day is a significant event that unites the WMC and WMS and is planned for Friday, November 14, 2025. The purpose of this special day is to introduce high school and college students studying woodworking to the state-of-the-art tools, materials, and software that are influencing the contemporary woodworking sector. It also provides an essential forum for showcasing the variety of fulfilling job options in the industry.
Throughout the three days of the event, WMC and its President, Audra Denny, will be heavily represented at the WMS Live Conference, which provides free educational seminars. On Wednesday, November 12th, WMC will offer “Creating Inclusive Spaces for Women in Woodworking,” and on Friday, November 14th, it will deliver “Exploring Career Pathways in Woodworking.”
