WMS Live presentation explores adapting to a post-pandemic sales climate

 Wednesday, July 19, 2023

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the way cabinet, furniture, and other wood product companies sell their wares. The first Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo in four years is making its return! The Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo (WMS) will return to the International Centre November 2-4, 2023 after a COVID-induced 2021 postponement and ultimate cancellation for 2022.

For example, the shift to remote work has forced sales teams to adapt their strategies and tactics. Key changes include the rise of video conferencing and increased reliance on digital marketing while still striving to develop personal relationships.

Andrew Wall, a seasoned business growth advisor who a member of Sandler Training, will discuss how businesses can adapt to the challenges of the changing sales landscape and grow their bottom lines at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo.

Sandler is the world’s largest sales, sales management and leadership development company. For more than four decades, Sander’s comprehensive training programs, tailored coaching, and consulting services have been transforming sales teams to maximize growth opportunities.

Wall will share Sandler’s current research on how the buyer’s journey has changed and what sales professionals can do to create mutually beneficial relationships. His free presentation, “Selling in a Post-Covid Economy: What Buyers Want and How Buyers Work,” is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2 at the WMS Live stage.

WMS is world-renowned as Canada’s preeminent industrial woodworking event. For more than four decades, WMS has connected Canada’s woodworking professionals with the world’s most prominent machinery manufacturers and suppliers. Last held four years ago due to the Covid-19 pandemic, WMS 2019 attracted attendees from nine Canadian provinces and two territories.

In addition, WMS 2019 featured 75,000 square feet of exhibit space and more than 175 exhibitors.
