Woodpeckers introduces efficient Marking Knife

Woodpeckers introduces new Marking Knife that will further ease the working processes of woodworkers. The innovative product is efficient enough to keep joinery tight and layout dead-on accurate. The marking knife is a serious hand tool that the woodworkers often rely on. At about 1/10th the width of a pencil line, it’s more precise, and the physical impression cut in the wood provides a register for chisels and saws. Woodpeckers Marking Knife features a finely crafted spearpoint blade held in an anodized aluminum handle by a stainless steel precision collet. The look and feel of the tool can’t help but inspire confidence in your work.

The blade is razor sharp but it doesn’t require a surgeon’s hand to make precise marks. Whether one is cutting paper-thin veneer or scoring one stock for a chisel cut, the 5″ handle provides ample grip. The blade’s bevel steers the flat side into one reference for perfect placement of the mark.

Woodpeckers Marking Knife is precision-machined to a spearpoint tip which means one can make mark equally well with the reference on the right or left. The blade protrudes from the collet by 1-1/2″ and the back is perfectly flat, so there’s plenty of reference against your mating stock. And, it’s only .032 ” thick which is critical for laying out tiny pins on a dovetail joint. At 3/8″ wide, you’ll be able to get the blade into the tightest corners easily, too.

Precision-turned from aircraft-grade aluminum, the Marking Knife’s handle fits comfortably in your hand. The stainless steel collet and butt cap provide elegance to the frame, but will also keep the tool looking just as stunning after many years of use. There’s no tool required for the collet, meaning quick blade changes when you need a fresh edge.
